The McClure Family

We are Thomas and Meredith McClure. We’ve been married since July 14, 2018, and are expecting a little girl in February, 2020. Meredith has been a member of this church most of her life and her time in children’s ministry played a crucial role in her spiritual development. When we started dating, we wanted to find the right church for us and we visited FBC and other churches as well. We found ourselves coming back to First Baptist. I joined FBC last year after being active within the church for several years. We love FBC’s passion to be “Church at the Heart of the City.” FBC’s Fresh Expressions and involvement within the community, is very important to us.

Meredith’s parents are long-time members, and my parents recently joined FBC. We’re excited that both sets of grandparents are part of the church where our daughter will grow up.

When Meredith was young, there were many great traditional programs and activities that helped children get involved in the church. FBC has even more activities for children to be involved now. We believe it’s important to bring children up in the church and be surrounded by God-loving and servant-minded individuals. We want our children to grow up with a church family they love, and can count on.

When we first heard about the renovation, we were excited because the children’s ministry gives children an opportunity to learn about God starting at an early age and continue to develop that relationship. The renovation tells others the church is intentional about the next generations and we think this renovation will help draw in new families.

WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO GROW UP WITH A CHURCH FAMILY THEY LOVE AND CAN COUNT ON.

We feel like the renovation will impact the generation before us, our generation, future generations, and the community. It’s important to invest in the future of FBC.
